FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is every piece made by hand?

Yes, since every piece is handmade and handwoven by artisans that means we have the highest quality control over our products and designs.

Can I use my Mainly Baskets pieces outdoors?

The majority of MBH products are made with all-natural rattan. They are not recommended to be in the direct outside elements but are perfect for covered porches whether screened-in or not.

We do have a NEW Outdoor Collection featuring a few of our best-selling products available for pre-order now! Please visit the Outdoor Collection page to see more.

Where are the baskets and furniture made?

Our products are made in the Philippines, Indonesia, South America, and India.

What is the lead time for Made to Order pieces?

Our Made to Order pieces are handwoven just for you! The current lead time for any Made to Order item is 20-24 weeks.

You will receive a more detailed lead time once you place your order. As always please reach out to our customer service team for any additional questions.

What is your Return Policy?

Our return policy can vary by product. Please visit the Returns and Exchanges page.

What is the protective finish?

Our protective finish is a water-based solution that we apply to the furniture pieces. This finish does not change the look or feel of the natural rattan, nor does it waterproof the pieces. It provides an extra layer of longevity to the pieces.

Do you accept COM?

No, we do not accept COM. We do offer Sunbrella fabrics, please visit our Fabric Selection page for more information.

What are the different types of baskets MBH offers?

Sweater Weave: Water Hyacinth or Seagrass is woven either in the "rush" style or "sweater weave" style. Water Hyacinth is a freshwater reed that our manufacturer harvests and dries to then weave into our beautiful bestselling baskets.

French Country: These baskets are made with all-natural rattan. The rattan used for these baskets has a bit of shine to it.

Cottage: These baskets are also made with rattan but this species is more rustic and does not have the shine to it like the French Country baskets.
